Jim Black

Founding Partner

Mr. Black received his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an Editor of the Georgetown Law Weekly and served as Chair of the Communications Law Forum, and his undergraduate degree from the University of La Verne. Mr. Black has spent the majority of his practice representing employers, insurers and third party administrators in Workers’ Compensation, fraud, wrongful termination and subrogation matters, as well as providing counsel in general business and labor law issues. Mr. Black has served as a guest speaker on panels at workers’ compensation seminars, taught college courses in law and business and has worked as a writer and editor for local and national legal publications. Mr. Black is a certified specialist by the State Bar of California, Workers’ Compensation and a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles & Orange County Bar Associations.
