Ms. Schmidt graduated Cum Laude from Minnesota State University where she was on the Dean’s list four years in a row and was active in the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society. Ms. Schmidt obtained her Juris Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota where she was on the Dean’s Honor Roll, a recipient of an Eliza Drew Scholarship and received the CALI Award for Negotiation, Restorative Justice and Family Law. Ms Schmidt is certified in alternative dispute resolution from Hamline’s Dispute Resolution Institute, which is ranked 4th in the Nation and is actively involved in the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Justice Foundation.
